We are an informal group of writers that meets in the Savannah, Georgia area. Most of us are working on Christian-themed pieces, but some are not. All genres are welcome.
Our group started Summer 2014 and continues to grow. We hope you can come and enjoy learning and creative fellowship with us!
We meet on the fourth Saturday of each month at the Richmond Hill Public Library – unless we are having a special event! Please sign up for our monthly reminder emails, or check our writing inspiration link, or on our Facebook page for monthly meeting information.
Personal thoughts on being a new member of the Southeast Georgia Christian Writer’s Group – by Kailey Bradley
“When I first attended a meeting of the Southeast Georgia Christian Writer’s Group, I was struck by the feeling of peace I had in sharing my writing with these new people. Usually, I would have been very nervous to put my work out there for anyone to read, but knowing that these were all like-minded Christians who shared my values and world-view put me at ease. I immediately had a sense that these were people I could trust to tell me the truth with compassion and humor.
I really appreciated that the meeting was organized with particular discussion points and activities, but also flexible and relaxed enough that the group could take the conversation in any direction. I enjoyed hearing everyone share their stories on a personal level, whether regarding their writing frustrations and triumphs, their spiritual journeys, or the dreams they have for their books.
The feeling of acceptance and Christian love between all these writers from different backgrounds was refreshing! Since I began attending the group meetings, I have been inspired to write more, write better, and above all, to write for the Lord’s glory!” -Kailey M. Bradley
